It was a good week for couponing this week!  I hit my usual spots Rite Aid & CVS.  I spent a little more at CVS than usual, but I really wanted to get the Coke Deal, so I did.  Rite Aid wasn't too bad.  My printer ran out of ink, so I couldn't print off my vital coupons to make a greater shopping trip happen.  Either way, I did get some goodies to add to my ever-growing stockpile!  I am hoping to shake things up a little and hit a Target in the near future!! Here's to hoping for great clearance deals!

This week my journey was in Myrtle Beach.  There was a CVS around the corner, so I only went there this week.  I felt I did fairly good for a quick couponing trip.  I will apologize for the lack of quality picture, it was taken with my cell phone.  Hopefully this weekend and next week I will be able to catch up on the blog!! I feel like I am weeks behind and not giving you all the best chances of finding deals!


Couponing Tip: One great tip I want to share with you was based on myself traveling.  I downloaded a few apps I really love.  One is called Gas Buddy, it helps you find the cheapest place to find gas near you!! Those few cents can add up fast!!  Another is Hotel Tonight, it will help you find an affordable hotel near you.  My favorite is Yelp!  This helps you find many different things near you, plus it shows other app users reviews on those places!!  I found a great Italian Restaurant, great on price and has to have my now favorite tasting pizza I've ever had!

This has been a crazy week in my life!! Where I work, we have to work every holiday, so I had a busy holiday weekend of work!  Tuesday I did a small couponing trip for the week!!  Decided that Wednesday I was going to work on the blog and get everything caught up and bring more deals.  I ended up not doing it because the internet server was down and a helper that I have, their computer died, as in dead-dead.  So here I am playing catch up and I prepare for our family vacation next week!  No need to worry, I will be couponing and posting deals at the beach!  My goal is to work on them each evening before bed and each morning before my kids wake up and try to run out the door for the ocean! Back to my couponing trip.  I went to CVS & Rite Aid and didn't use hardly any coupons.  It was mainly the rewards.  CVS became a good hotspot for the little travel size items!  I also decided to scoop up some clearance from Rite Aid too!  Also bought an Xtra Detergent because my price is at $1.99 tops and since I am couponing for my soon-to-be college cousin, I needed to help him get stocked up on some goodies!!

Not as many as some and the key to be getting great deals nonstop is signing up for e-mails and becoming members to your favorite brand's site!  If you are just into some or really into it, it will flood your inbox and/or junk mail full very quickly!  Our extreme savvy tip is to get an extra e-mail address for that purpose only!! I have a bit of laughter while taking a picture of this week's items.  Little did I realize I couponed basically for one major subject area.  I will let you fill in the blanks!  I went to Walmart this week to get the goodies with coupons that is to expire at the end of the month.  For those who live in Bedford County, Pennsylvania, you will understand my frustrations with the Walmart!  Half of what I wanted to get, they did not carry!  Grrr...! I also went to Rite Aid & CVS this week!  I enjoyed getting some of the goodies I did get.  Including more free hair dye!!  This is starting to become on of my favorite stockpile items to get!

Couponing Tip:  Catalina!  A Catalina got it's name because of the machine it came from is called a Catalina machine!  Catalinas are coupon that print out at the register when you buy mainly at Grocery Stores and Walgreens has one too!  Now here is my little advice about them.  Usually there are advisement on these in the sales fliers.  When you buy so much, you get a catalina off your next purchase!  What do you do when one doesn't print?  The solution is to not say anything to the cashier or Customer Service.  Great chances are they have no idea why!  What to do is go home, get the ad out, your receipt and the products.  Most of the time, it was shopper error, but if it wasn't and everything was correct and your catalina didn't print, call 888-8-Coupon.  Press #3 for Customer Service.  They will ask you for your name, address, phone number, store, receipt number, time, date, and all those goodies.  They will be able to look up your receipt to determine if you should have received one.  If you should have it will take a few weeks, but they will mail you one out!

I enjoyed couponing this week!  I screwed up at CVS, but my total still came out good.  Ended up with much less Extrabucks than planned!  Here my two-year-old decided to hold my eyeshadow that should've been on my first transaction and so that was my messed up!  You win some & lose some!  Rite Aid, I am slowly crawling out of the low amount of +Up Rewards week-to-week.  And for the first time this year, I couponed at Family Dollar.  The local one was having a Grand Re-Opening with some awesome stellar deals!  I picked up a few items and am very pleased how everything turned out this week!  I am thinking about this week coming hitting up Walmart to get those few deals before the coupons expire at the end of the month.

Another week of couponing complete!  I went to my usual spots Rite Aid & CVS.  I wasn't thrilled with Rite Aid Deals this week and was even more disappointed in how many +up rewards I have for next week, but we shall move on!!! CVS was a really great week!! I got the 25% off Regular Price coupon again!!  I spent a little more than I was intended to, but no regrets!! I also couldn't help myself and my daughter and I shared a thing of M&M's before the picture happened.  She said they were yummy (she's two)!

Couponing Tip: I want to discuss another app out there called the Shopkick App.  It's an interesting app to use when you go shopping.  Different places you check in with this app and earn "kicks."  If you use certain coupons or scan certain items they offer, you will also earn additional "kicks."  With these "kicks" you can grab goodies like free gift cards or try to get lots of kicks for a Coach Purse or other items!!  This isn't a 'get rich overnight' thing, but it's a little goodie to use while shopping to earn more freebies!
